Molly Garvey

Molly Garvey is an Independent Researcher at Nuffield Ireland, focusing on change management and policy in food systems. Previously, Molly served as Founder-in-Residence at Fresh Ventures Studio, emphasizing a circular and regenerative food system. At GIY, Molly managed the Community Manager role, overseeing 300 groups and leading significant campaigns, while also acting as Social Impact Lead, developing impact measurement protocols and research strategies. Molly co-founded the Cork Urban Soil Project, securing grant funding and contributing to Horizon2020 efforts. Early roles included a Hub Development Intern at Open Food Network and Researcher at The Center for Genomic Gastronomy, with a background as a Cheesemonger at Fallon & Byrne. Molly holds multiple degrees, including a Master's of Research in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations from University College Cork and a Bachelor of Arts in French and Theatre Studies from Trinity College Dublin. Additionally, Molly completed an Online Micromasters in Circular Economy from Wageningen University & Research.
