Mike Privette

Mike Privette is a seasoned cybersecurity expert and entrepreneur with a diverse portfolio of leadership roles. As the Founder of Return on Security, Mike has established a research, media, and consulting platform focused on insights within the cybersecurity industry. In addition, Mike serves on the Advisory Board for Aspiron Search, an exclusive recruitment firm for venture-backed cybersecurity companies, and is a member and investor in Cyber Club London, a community dedicated to early-stage cybersecurity ventures. Mike holds investor and advisory positions at Nullify, Subsalt, and Bearer, the latter of which was acquired by Cycode. Previously, Mike was the CISO and VP of Information & Cyber Security at Passport Labs, contributing to the development of the security department from inception. Mike's advisory experience extends to TFX Capital and DataTribe. Educationally, Mike holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and dual bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
