Edson Duarte has worked in the technology industry since 2014. In that year, they began their career as a Machine Learning Undergraduate Researcher at Universidade Estadual de Campinas. In 2015, they moved on to become a Mobile Developer at Watermelon Tecnologia & Participações, where they developed learning, routing, delivery, and video conferencing solutions. In 2016, they joined Motorola Mobility (a Lenovo Company) as a Machine Learning Undergraduate Researcher, where they worked on the software engineering problem of bug triaging using proprietary data and open datasets. edson also used many ML and NLP techniques and tools such as scikit-learn, xgboost, keras, nltk, matplotlib, bokeh, seaborn, joblib, dash, luigi, and sacred. In 2018, they became a Data Scientist at Numerai. Since 2019, they have been working at Venturus, where they have held the roles of Lead Data Scientist, Cloud Engineer, Data Science Chapter Lead, and Software Engineer.

Edson Duarte completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas in 2020, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same institution. In January 2023, they obtained the Google Cloud Essentials certification from A Cloud Guru | A Pluralsight Company.
