Natasja Rupesinghe is a Research Fellow at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) since January 2016, engaging in research focused on AU/UN peace operations, African insurgencies, and civilian protection, while supporting the Training for Peace Project. Previously, Natasja worked as a Policy Officer at the African Union in 2017, seconded from NUPI. Early career experiences include roles as an Administrative Assistant at the Norwegian Refugee Council and a Development & Outreach Intern at Human Rights Watch, where Natasja assisted in organizing fundraising events. Natasja's research experience extends to positions at Norsk institutt for by- og regionforskning (NIBR) and Six Oranges, focusing on political participation and human trafficking, respectively. Natasja holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Oxford, a Master’s in Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor's in European Social and Political Studies from UCL.
