Pernille Rieker

Pernille Rieker is a seasoned academic with extensive experience in international politics. Currently serving as a Research Professor and Head of the International Politics department at Norsk Utenrikspolitisk Institutt (NUPI) since December 1999, Rieker has also held the position of Senior Researcher and was previously a Doctoral candidate/Research fellow. In addition, Rieker holds a part-time role as Professor II at Høgskolen i Innlandet since October 2017. Formerly a Senior Advisor at NordForsk from September 2009 to December 2010, Rieker's educational background includes a Dr.Polit in Political Science from the University of Oslo, and a cand.polit in International Relations from the same institution, along with a CEP in French political science, history, and economy from Sciences Po.
