Muthusamy Shanmugam

Muthusamy Shanmugam is a seasoned pharmaceutical professional with extensive experience in founding and leading various companies within the industry. Since January 2016, Muthusamy has served as Founder and President of Novitium Pharma LLC, while also founding Scitus Pharma Services and Nuray Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. in 2017 and 2013, respectively. Muthusamy established an API manufacturing facility in India to cater to developed markets for niche pharmaceutical products. Prior to these ventures, Muthusamy founded Ethics Bio Labs, successfully building a clinical research organization that was sold to Par Pharmaceuticals, and served as Senior Vice President of R&D Operations in India at Par Pharmaceutical. Earlier roles include Founder and CEO of Edict Pharmaceuticals, which became a key part of Par's Indian operations, and Vice President at Novel Laboratories, Inc. Muthusamy's foundational experience also includes senior R&D roles at Kali Labs. Muthusamy holds a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from JSS College of Pharmacy and JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, respectively.
