John van Vliet

John Van Vliet is an accomplished software development manager with extensive experience in the engineering and oil & gas sectors. Currently serving as the Manager of Software Development at Nureva Inc. since September 2021, John previously held positions including Manager of Technical Software at Volant Products Inc., where notable achievements included initiating the Technical Software team and leading the development of commercial applications for drilling optimization. With a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, John also has a history as a Lead Engineer at Noetic Engineering 2008 Inc., where expertise in engineering consulting and software development was demonstrated through the creation of advanced tools and mentoring of junior engineers. Previous roles include independent consulting, co-ownership of a hotel management software company, SCADA development, and robotics research.
