Dave Ferguson

Dave Ferguson is the Co-Founder of Nuro, Inc., where Dave leads a team focused on using robotics to improve everyday life, starting with a self-driving vehicle for local goods transportation. Prior to Nuro, Dave worked at Google as the Principal Engineer and Computer Vision and Machine Learning Lead for the self-driving car project. Before Google, Dave was the Vice President of Quantitative Research at Two Sigma Investments, where Dave developed trading strategies using machine learning. Dave also has experience as a Senior Research Scientist at Intel Research, and as an Adjunct Faculty at Carnegie Mellon University. Dave holds a MS and Ph.D. in Robotics and Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BSc(H) in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Otago.
