Selga Speakman-Havard

Selga Speakman-Havard is a seasoned policy manager currently employed at The Nursing and Midwifery Council since June 2020, where responsibilities include developing impactful policy positions and managing responses to public inquiries on care failings. Previous roles include strategy management and public affairs management during the Covid-19 pandemic. Before this, Selga worked at the Food and Drink Federation from 2011 to 2019, focusing on competitiveness and public affairs, with significant involvement in Brexit-related labor issues and workforce strategies. Additional experience includes roles at Yorkshire Forward, the UK Department of Health, the House of Commons, and temporary positions during a career break in Australia. Selga holds an MA in British Politics and a BA in Politics and Russian Studies from the University of Leeds, and has also studied at Moscow University.
