Bob Houser

Bob Houser currently serves as the Manager of Testing and Code Development at NuScale Power, a position held since October 2012. In this role, Bob leads a talented team of up to 50 engineers and contractors, focusing on critical deliverables for the Design Certification Application, including extensive testing both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining NuScale Power, Bob worked at the Naval Reactors Program for over 30 years, where responsibilities included testing and analysis of reactor designs for the Navy's submarine and aircraft carrier fleet. Significant contributions included leadership in the safety analysis for the VIRGINIA-class submarines and support for the deployment of new nuclear reactors in various naval platforms. Bob Houser holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University.
