Eric Fischer

Vice President, Information Technology at NuScale Power

Eric Fischer has over 20 years of work experience in the field of information technology. Eric started their career as a Systems Technician at Oregon State University in 1996. After that, they worked at Modis as an Information Technology Support Specialist, where they provided help desk support and also took on server administration responsibilities. In 1999, they joined Hewlett-Packard and held several roles, including IT Outsourcing Engineer, SQL Server Database Engineering, and a member of the Specialized Infrastructure Services Team. During their time at Hewlett-Packard, Eric was responsible for supporting global IT infrastructure, monitoring and providing technical support for thousands of databases, and managing Windows servers. Most recently, they held positions at NuScale Power as an Information Technology Manager and later as an IT Director.

Eric Fischer started their education at Linn-Benton Community College in 1992, where they pursued pre-engineering. Eric completed their studies there in 1994. Following this, Eric enrolled at Oregon State University in 1994 and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering, achieving the highest academic honor of summa cum laude.
