Margaux Stastny

Vice President External Relations at Nutrition International

Margaux Stastny has a range of work experience spanning several years. Margaux started their career as a Communications Officer in the Canadian government in 2006, where they eventually became the Deputy Director of Communications for the Office of the Minister of Public Works. From there, they moved on to become the Director of Communications and Operations for the Office of the Minister, Hon. Christian Paradis, from 2009 to 2015. Stastny then joined the Canadian Electricity Association as the Director of Communications, leading media relations and launching a soft rebrand. Their next position was with Nutrition International, where they held the role of Senior Director of Advocacy & Communications, responsible for leading communications, advocacy, and resource mobilization activities. Margaux eventually became the Vice President of External Relations for the organization in 2021. Throughout their career, Stastny has demonstrated their expertise in communications, government relations, and strategic planning.

Margaux Stastny holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Affairs - International Economic Policy from Carleton University, which they obtained from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Honours Political Science at Concordia University from 2002 to 2005. In 2000, they pursued studies in Social Sciences at Dawson College. From 1998 to 1999, Margaux attended Aurehøj Gymnasium, where they focused on Languages. In addition to their formal education, Margaux obtained certification in HCP-CPR from the Canadian Ski Patrol in 2007. Margaux has also independently studied Engaging Citizens: A Game Changer for Development? and Financing for Development through online courses offered by the World Bank Group.
