Awortwe Charles has a diverse work experience in the field of pharmaceutical services and research. awortwe started their career as a Senior Research Scientist at the South African Medical Research Council in 2016 and held this role until 2019. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at Stellenbosch University, first as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and later as an Extraordinary Senior Lecturer. Following this, they obtained a research fellowship at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein, where they worked from 2017 to 2021. Currently, they serve as the Head of Lab in vitro DMPK at Nuvisan Pharma Services since 2021.
Awortwe Charles received a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi from 2001 to 2005. awortwe then pursued a Master's degree in Pharmacology at University of Ghana Medical School from 2008 to 2011. Following that, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Pharmacology at Stellenbosch University from 2012 to 2015.
