Juan Echavarria

Juan Echavarria, PE has over 30 years of work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Throughout their career, they have held various roles in different companies. From 1981 to 1984, they worked as the Chief Electrical Inspector at Metro-Dace County Construction Management, where they supervised electrical tests and documented construction progress. Juan then joined Metro-Dade County - Facilities Division as a Facilities Maintenance Engineer III from 1984 to 1988, where they assisted technicians in troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment. From 1988 to 1991, they worked as a Senior Design Engineer at Fluor, overseeing electrical design for textile spinning machines. Juan then became a Professional Engineer II at the Agency for Health Care Administration from 1991 to 2006, reviewing plans and conducting construction surveys for health care facilities. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Smith Seckman Reid Compliance and Facilities Management, focusing on field inspections, design, and review of health care facilities. Juan then worked as a Professional Engineer at 2XAHCAguys from 2009 to 2011, reviewing and approving health care designs. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Forensic Electrical Engineer at Donan Engineering Co., Inc., conducting investigations and writing reports on electrical damages. Currently, since 2014, Juan holds the position of Chief Electrical Inspector and Plan Reviewer at NV5, where they are in charge of electrical inspections and plan review for multiple projects.

Juan Echavarria, PE completed their education with a degree in General Contractor from Miami Dade College (1976-1997) and a degree in Electrical Contractor from the University of Florida (1968-1971). Their field of study in both instances was focused on construction and electrical construction, respectively.
