Veerle Conings

Veerle Conings is a Policy Advisor at NVAO since June 2021, specializing in external quality assurance within higher education. Previous experience includes roles at UHasselt focused on sustainability and gender policy, as well as strategic planning for inclusive excellence in educational programs. Veerle held the position of Coordinator HRM at FOD Justitie SPF Justice, where responsibilities involved organizational development and personnel management. As a Training Manager at KU Leuven Instituut voor de Overheid, Veerle managed training portfolios and conducted projects in strategic planning and leadership development. Early career experience includes serving as a Policy Advisor in the Cabinet of the Flemish Minister of Welfare, Public Health and Equal Opportunities. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from UHasselt and a Postgraduate degree in Public Sector Mediation from KU Leuven.
