Alexander van der Weide

Alexander van der Weide has extensive experience in the industrial and enclosures industry. From 2003 to 2019, they held various leadership positions at Eldon Enclosures, including Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. During their time there, they implemented a data-driven sales operating model and successfully developed an exit strategy resulting in the sale of the business to nVent Electric plc in 2019. In 2019, they joined nVent as the Vice President and General Manager of Hoffman, where they led the transformation of the company from a hardware to a software industrial company. Alexander also oversaw strategic acquisitions and alliances to accelerate growth and expand the company's global footprint. In addition, they served as the Vice President of Enclosures Marketing & Business Development, where they were responsible for the global business strategy and exploring organic and inorganic growth opportunities. Alexander also has experience as a board member and as the leader of the Strategy Committee at Eldon Enclosures.

Alexander van der Weide completed their education with a MscBA degree in Business and Administration from the University of Groningen, from 2006 to 2009. Alexander also completed an Executive Course in Strategy execution at IESE Business School in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a BICT degree in Business and ICT from Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, from 1998 to 2001.
