Jay Puri

Jay Puri serves as executive vice president of worldwide field operations at NVIDIA, with responsibility for global sales and regional marketing of all NVIDIA products and services.

Puri joined NVIDIA in 2005 in his current role after a 22-year career at Sun Microsystems, where he held positions in sales, marketing and general management. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of Sun’s Asia-Pacific Group. Prior to that, he was vice president of worldwide sales for software and technology, president of Nihon Sun KK and vice president of worldwide product marketing. During his tenure, Sun grew from 25 employees and no revenue to 35,000 employees and $12 billion in revenue.

Previously, Puri held marketing, management consulting and product development positions at Hewlett-Packard Company, Booz Allen & Hamilton and Texas Instruments.

Puri holds a BSEE degree with high distinction from the University of Minnesota, an MSEE degree from the California Institute of Technology and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School.
