Smbat Tonoyan is a Principal Security Architect at NVIDIA, where responsibilities include leading hardware security architecture for automotive system-on-chips and overseeing the overall hardware security architecture for the Nvidia Grace CPU since June 2018. Prior experience includes multiple roles at Synaptics Incorporated, including Principal Security Architect and Software Security Design Engineer, focused on the design and development of software security solutions from November 2013 to June 2018. Smbat has also held positions as a Software Security Design Engineer at Validity Sensors, Inc., a Senior Software Engineer at Hitegrity LLC, and as a Software Developer at the Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Mathematics degree in Information Theory from the Institute of Informatics and Automation Problems of the NAS of Armenia, earned between 2003 and 2006.
