Carrie Thome has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Carrie currently serves as the Managing Director at NVNG Investment Advisors since September 2019. In addition, they are a Board Member at Dynamic Alternatives Fund, starting in November 2021.
Prior to their current roles, Carrie was a member of the Board of Directors at Madison Funds from May 2017 to November 2022. Carrie held a leadership position as the Chief Investment Officer at Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) from September 2007 to June 2019, where they were responsible for managing the overall investment portfolio and pension assets worth over $6 billion. Carrie also served as an Associate Director of Investments at WARF from July 2001 to September 2007.
Carrie's earlier experiences include working as an Assistant Portfolio Manager, Investment Officer, and Credit Analyst at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board from July 1996 to June 2001. Prior to that, they worked as a Financial Analyst at Heartland Properties, LLC from December 1992 to July 1996, and as an Underwriter at Anchor Bank from June 1991 to November 1992.
Carrie Thome completed their education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. From 1986 to 1991, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Finance, Investment and Banking and Real Estate. Following that, from 1994 to 1996, they pursued a Masters of Science in Business with a specialization in Finance, Investment and Banking. In addition to their academic achievements, Carrie Thome also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute, obtained in September 2000.
