David Heaps

David Heaps, CPA, has extensive experience in tax management and compliance, currently serving as Tax Manager at NW Natural since August 2012, after initially working as a Tax Analyst. Prior to that role, David was a Tax Senior at Deloitte & Touche from January 2007 to July 2012, where responsibilities included accounting for income taxes under ASC 740, consolidated income tax compliance, reporting, tax research, and income tax planning. Earlier in David's career, a position as Vault Clerk at Costco Wholesale from October 2004 to January 2007 provided foundational experience. David earned a B.S. in Accounting from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, attending from 2004 to 2007, and previously studied at Utah State University from 2000 to 2002.
