John Robinson

Director Of Procurement & Supply Chain at NW Natural

John Robinson has over 20 years of experience in supply chain management and procurement. John currently holds the position of Director of Procurement & Supply Chain at NW Natural. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Supply Chain - Sourcing at ESCO Corporation from 2017 to 2022. Before that, they served as the Director of Supply Chain at Nautilus Inc. from 2014 to 2017. From 2009 to 2014, they were the Head of Supply Chain at Ann Sacks, where they were responsible for transitioning the department and implementing protocols for various supply chain activities. Before joining Ann Sacks, they worked at Nike for nine years in various roles, including Sourcing and Production Operations Manager and Replenishment Inventory Manager/Senior Supply Planner. Additionally, John has experience as an Army Officer in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard, where they were responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising unit operations. John also has accounting experience from roles at ESCO Corporation and Time Warner Cable.

John Robinson began their education journey by obtaining a High School Diploma from ACS Calvert/American Coop. H.S. in La Paz, Bolivia, from 1986 to 1989. John then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business/Corporate Communications at Oregon State University, which they completed from 1989 to 1994. Following this, John engaged in post-bachelor coursework in accounting at Portland State University from 1994 to 1996.

After a break in formal education, John returned to school and attended both the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business and Columbia Business School, where they pursued an MBA degree in Business. Their studies at UC Berkeley took place from 2010 to 2011, while their time at Columbia occurred from 2010 to 2012.

In terms of additional certifications, John obtained a Lean Practitioner Certification from Portland State University's Center for Executive and Professional Education (CEPE) in May 2015.
