Msfa Samantha Downing

Samantha Downing, MSFA, currently serves as a Senior Financial and Operational Auditor at NW Natural since August 2021 and has been a Board Member at Point West Credit Union since March 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Internal Auditor at Schnitzer Steel from January 2020 to August 2021, an Audit and Assurance Staff member at Perkins & Co from July 2017 to October 2019, and an Accounting Consultant at Oregon Entrepreneurs Network for a brief period in 2017. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Finance Manager and an Intern at Portland Product Werks, where responsibilities included maintaining financial records, creating financial statements, managing cash flows, and preparing internal reports. Samantha holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Analysis and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration: Accounting from Portland State University, along with a BS in Psychology from Pacific University.
