Braden Zhao has a diverse work experience in different roles and industries. Braden started their career as a Process Engineer at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, where they used manufacturing engineering principles to improve the operational efficiency of Emergency Departments. Braden conducted interviews, developed multivariate models, and designed improvement strategies to maximize throughput.
Next, Braden worked as a Team Lead of Inventory Auditor at RGIS, where they managed a team and ensured accurate and efficient inventories for customers. Braden also provided customized inventory reports, made decisions, and mentored junior staff.
Braden then joined Carlson Engineered Composites as a Manufacturing Engineer - Robotics Specialty, specializing in offline ABB robot programming and CAD technical support. Braden also developed standard operation procedures, created BOMs, and provided support in production processes.
After that, Braden worked at Westfield-Wheatheart as a Manufacturing Engineer, providing technical support to machines, robots, and processes. Braden programmed robots, set up production parameters, and designed welding fixtures.
Braden'smost recent role was as an Associate Engineer Officer at the Nuclear Waste Management Organization, where they developed conceptual designs for the Deep Geological Repository facility for nuclear waste storage. Braden Zhao pursued their education in the field of engineering. Braden obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Harbin University of Science and Technology, completing their studies from 2005 to 2009. To further enhance their knowledge and qualifications, Braden went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Manitoba for the period of 2011 to 2013. Additionally, Braden Zhao acquired several certifications, including the Professional Engineer (PE) designation from both Professional Engineers Ontario in January 2019 and Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba in September 2018. Braden also obtained the E.I.T certification from Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba in August 2014.
