Yang Sui

Design Engineer, Used Fuel Transportation Package at NWMO

Yang Sui has over 15 years of work experience in various engineering roles. From 2003 to 2006, they worked in manufacturing engineering positions, gaining experience in process optimization and product quality improvement. From 2005 to 2009, Yang Sui was involved in research and development projects, applying AI and operations research techniques to improve scheduling and resource utilization in the healthcare industry. In 2008, they also worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Waterloo. In 2010, Yang Sui transitioned into a research engineer role at Alpha Global iT, where they designed and researched intelligent scheduling and resource optimization systems. Most recently, since 2014, they have been working as a design engineer at the Nuclear Waste Management Organization, contributing to the responsible and long-term management of Canada's used nuclear fuel. Yang Sui has demonstrated expertise in design, analysis, software development, and project leadership throughout their career.

Yang Sui received a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with an option in Mechatronics from the University of Waterloo, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. Later, they pursued a Master of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with an option in Mechatronics from the same university, completing the program from 2007 to 2009.
