Ismo Antikainen

Ismo Antikainen has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles in the telecommunications industry. Ismo co-founded NXT:FWD in 2023, where they currently serve as the Chief Telco Officer. Prior to this, they worked at Qvantel as the Head of Solution Architecture from 2019 to 2023.

Before joining Qvantel, Antikainen held positions at Nokia SW and Comptel FWD Oy as the Head of Delivery for FWD, a groundbreaking mobile data app. In both companies, they built the services functions from scratch and led teams globally to execute the functions. During their tenure, FWD gained customers across all continents.

Antikainen also has experience as a Senior Technical Consultant and owner at Inmox Ltd, where they provided services to telecommunication operators and vendors. At Tecnotree Corporation, they worked as the Chief Solution Architect, supporting sales and leading project deliveries for Business Support Systems Solutions to CSPs.

Earlier in their career, Antikainen was an advisor at Genre Mobile, a start-up that aimed to improve customer experience and optimize mobile network utilization. Ismo also served as the CTO at Tema Networks, a start-up offering dynamic tariffing solutions to mobile operators.

Antikainen's notable involvement includes their role as the Chief Telecom Architect at Blyk, where they were responsible for telecom platform related technical aspects, partner selection, and implementation projects. Ismo was also a co-inventor of multiple mobile advertising patents. Prior to Blyk, they worked as a Senior Technical Consultant at eServGlobal.

Ismo Antikainen attended the Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan from 1988 to 1994. Ismo obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Communications during this period.
