Howard L. Zimmerman, FAIA is the founder and president of Howard L. Zimmerman Architects & Engineers, P.C., a company they established in 1981. Howard L. is also a board member of Educational Alliance since 2021 and 14th Street Y since 2011. Additionally, they served as the vice president of Metropolitan Executive Alliance, an invitation-only membership organization, from 2005 onwards. During their career, they have also held teaching positions as a guest lecturer at New York University from 1983 to 1985, an adjunct professor at The New School from 1980 to 1982, and an adjunct professor at the City College of New York from 1978 to 1980.
Howard L. Zimmerman, FAIA pursued their education in architecture and urban landscape architecture. From 1969 to 1973, they attended The City College of New York, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree. Howard L. then went on to the University of Pennsylvania from 1973 to 1975, where they earned their Master's degree in architecture.
