Meg Thompson

Meg Thompson is a seasoned professional in health policy and management, currently serving as Senior Director of Value Based Payment (VBP) Strategy and Policy in the Office of Managed Care Administration at NYC Health + Hospitals. Previously, Meg held various leadership roles in VBP Strategy and Policy within the Office of the CFO and served as Associate Director of Operations in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer. Early career experiences include roles as Research & Communications Associate at City Health Works and as a Research Analyst and Research Assistant at The Urban Institute, focusing on income and benefits policy. Meg also gained legislative experience as a Federal Legislative Affairs Intern at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and policy advocacy skills during an internship with the National Partnership for Women and Families. Meg holds a Master of Science in Food Systems and Society from Marylhurst University and a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Cultures and Politics from Michigan State University.
