Samantha Kleinfield has a diverse work experience in various government and non-profit organizations. Samantha has worked at the NYC Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice since 2019, first as Deputy Chief of Staff and currently as Executive Director, Strategic Initiatives. In their role, they have been responsible for managing staff, overseeing budgets, and developing initiatives to reduce crime and incarceration. Prior to this, they worked at Hennepin County, where they served as Public Policy Manager - Public Safety and held various roles at the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office. Samantha Kleinfield also has experience in international relations and negotiation strategy, having worked at the Shafik Gabr Foundation and the Embassy of Djibouti. Samantha began their career as a paralegal at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP.

Samantha Kleinfield obtained a Master's degree in Politics and International Studies from Sciences Po from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Humanities, with a focus on French Literature and Philosophy, from Northwestern University. Samantha completed their high school education at Trinity School. Additionally, they hold a Notary Public certification obtained from the NY Secretary of State in 2010, and has a certification in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
