Chao Yan is a Research Scientist at the New York Genome Center since September 2018, focusing on the development of spatially resolved multi-omics profiling of solid tissues. Previously, Chao Yan served as a Research Assistant at Penn State University from September 2012 to September 2018, where significant contributions included the development of an assay that integrated DNA library construction, biochemical reactions, and high-throughput Amplicon sequencing to quantitatively assess pioneer factor activity, alongside creating software for DNA sequence design and sequencing analysis. Additionally, Chao Yan held roles as a Teaching Assistant in microbiology and molecular genetics laboratories, and presented at the Biophysical Society Pennsylvania Network Meeting. Chao Yan earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Penn State University and a Master of Science in Biology from Tsinghua University.
