Director, Head Of Process Development And Manufacturing At Nykode Therapeutics at Nykode

Einar Jonsbu has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Einar most recently worked at Vaccibody AS as the Director Technology and CMC, starting in August 2020. Prior to that, they were employed at Bayer AS as the Head of Commercial Production from January 2019 to August 2020. In this role, they oversaw GMP manufacturing of the radiopharmaceutical product Xofigo and was responsible for improving manufacturing processes and production lines.

From 2016 to 2018, Einar served as the Director Biopharmaceutical CMC Development at Targovax ASA. Here, they played a vital role in the development, manufacturing, and control of therapeutic products within cancer vaccines. Einar also managed international CROs and CMOs and handled regulatory and quality aspects for biological products in clinical studies.

Before joining Targovax ASA, Einar worked at PHARMAQ AS from 2011 to 2015, where they held the position of Manager Viral Antigen Production. Einar was responsible for establishing aseptic GMP manufacturing for viral vaccines in aqua culture. In addition, they managed manufacturing planning and various other aspects, including new staff, production equipment, production processes, ERP system, GMP quality system, warehouse and logistics.

Einar's earlier experiences include working as a Project Manager and Senior Scientist at Life Technologies from 2006 to 2011, a Senior Research Scientist at Alpharma AS from 1994 to 2006, a Senior Engineer at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health from 1992 to 1994, a Research Fellow at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and SINTEF from 1990 to 1992, and a Research Assistant at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 1990.

Throughout their career, Einar has demonstrated expertise in project management, bioprocessing, technology transfer, and regulatory compliance.

Einar Jonsbu has a diverse education history spanning several years. Einar began their educational journey in 1983 by attending Officer School, specifically focusing on the field of study in the Medical Army, which they completed in 1985. Next, they pursued a Civil Engineering degree at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology from 1985 to 1989, with a specialization in Biotechnology. Lastly, Einar Jonsbu achieved a PhD in Biotechnology from the same institution, completing their doctoral studies from 1997 to 2001.
