Suraj Shah

Suraj Shah, MD, is currently a resident physician in the categorical internal medicine residency training program at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, having started in June 2022. Prior to this role, Suraj was an ACMG Summer Scholar at Boston Children's Hospital from June 2019 to May 2022, actively involved in the Bodamer Laboratory in the Department of Genetics-Genomics. Suraj also served as a peer tutor at Tufts University School of Medicine, assisting first- and second-year medical students with various pre-clinical subjects from August 2019 to April 2022. Additionally, Suraj worked as a research technician in the Degterev Lab at Tufts University School of Medicine from September 2017 to June 2018 and as an undergraduate researcher in the Kaplan Lab at Tufts University from May 2015 to May 2017. Suraj holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Tufts University. Educational background includes completing high school at Passaic Valley Regional High School in 2014.
