Hans Lauwers

Hans Lauwers currently serves as the CIO and Global Head of IT/OT at Nyrstar, a prominent company in the metals and mining sector, since February 2008. In this role, Hans Lauwers leads the alignment of IT/OT strategies with organizational goals to enhance digital transformation across global operations. Previously, Hans Lauwers held the position of Group Manager for IT Infrastructure and Operations, overseeing global IT strategies across various domains including datacenter management and information security. Prior roles include serving as a SAP Technical Netweaver Consultant at Ordina Belgium and as a System Administrator at Amcor PET Packaging. Hans Lauwers holds a Bachelor’s degree in IT from Thomas More University of Applied Sciences and is currently pursuing further education at Antwerp Management School.
