David Sheppard

David Sheppard is an experienced IT specialist with a strong background in programming and consulting. Currently serving as an IT Specialist 2 at the NY State Insurance Fund since December 2004, David has also been a freelance consultant for Sound Visions Consulting since 1983. Prior experience includes working at MIT Media Lab from 1990 to 1996, where responsibilities involved supercomputer maintenance, fiber-to-the-desktop network design, and intranet web development. David began their career as a software engineer at Thinking Machines Corporation from 1985 to 1989, where contributions included co-inventing DataVault. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Visual Arts from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completed in 1982.
