Rajith Sebastian

Rajith Sebastian, CFA has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Currently, they serve as the Head of ESG and Sustainable Investing at the New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF). Prior to this, they were the Head of Impact Investments at The Wharton School, where they were responsible for developing and managing ESG/Impact Investment vehicles. Rajith also gained experience as a Summer Intern at Credit Suisse and as a Regional Coverage Executive at Nedbank in East Africa. Additionally, they worked as a Director in Investment Banking Coverage at Standard Chartered Bank, as an Assistant Vice President at ChinaVest, and as an Executive at Macquarie Bank. Rajith'scareer began at Monitor Deloitte (formerly Monitor Group) as a Consultant. Overall, Rajith's work experience demonstrates their expertise in ESG investing and their ability to succeed in various roles within the financial industry.

Rajith Sebastian, CFA, holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance and Management from The Wharton School, which was earned from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, Rajith completed their Bachelor of Business Science degree with Honors in Finance and Marketing from the University of Cape Town from 2000 to 2003. Additionally, Rajith has obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder certification from the CFA Institute in September 2014.
