Galen Hu

Galen Hu, MD, is currently a Resident Physician in Ophthalmology at NYU Langone Health, starting in July 2023. Prior to this role, Galen served as a Research Assistant at NYU Langone Health from June 2020 to December 2022, focusing on Digital Health technologies in glaucoma home-monitoring and health literacy in ophthalmology. Additional experience includes leading data integrity and healthcare outreach at Get Us PPE, where efforts were directed toward collecting and distributing PPE during the COVID-19 pandemic. Galen has also conducted Digital Health research at the Brown-Lifespan Center, developed marketing strategies as a Surgical Marketing Intern at Alcon, and worked as an Ophthalmic Technician and Medical Scribe at Texas Eye and Laser Center. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from NYU Grossman School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science (Sc.B.) in Biology from Brown University.
