Tuka Alhanai is an Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi, serving as Principal Investigator at the Laboratory for Computer-Human Intelligence since February 2020, focusing on technologies that enhance human health and quality of life. Additionally, Tuka holds the title of Assistant Professor/Emerging Scholar at New York University since September 2022 and is a co-founder of Ghamut, a company specializing in software engineering and machine learning. Tuka's extensive experience includes public speaking engagements and research positions, notably at MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, where significant advancements in machine learning algorithms for cognitive condition detection were made. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. and a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from MIT, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from The Petroleum Institute.
