Ali GhaffarianHoseini is a distinguished academic in architecture and built environment engineering, currently serving as a Professor and Head of Department at Auckland University of Technology since December 2014. With a significant leadership role as Programme Leader for the BE (Hons) Architectural Engineering, Ali also coordinates industry engagement in the same field. In addition, Ali is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Housing and the Built Environment and holds the title of Green Star Accredited Professional with NZGBC. As the Director of the Responsive + Green Urban Built Environment Research Lab, Ali oversees an interdisciplinary research initiative across New Zealand, Malaysia, and Canada. Previously, Ali held positions as a Principal Lecturer at Limkokwing University and as a Researcher/Lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia, following comprehensive academic training that includes a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Architecture from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering from Azad University.
