Ian Beardslee

Ian Beardslee is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in development operations, training, and system management. Currently serving as a Senior Development Operations Analyst at NZX Limited since June 2023, Ian has a rich background that includes roles such as Instructor at Falcons Martial Arts since 1996, and Training Manager and Open Source Academy Co-ordinator at Catalyst from July 2006 to February 2023. Ian played a key role in developing an intensive learning program on open source technologies for senior secondary school students and managing internal projects to enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, Ian contributed as Operations Manager for the Ubuntu NZ Local Community Team from July 2007 to December 2018 and served as a Systems Specialist at the Public Service Association from September 1998 to July 2006, managing IT infrastructure for a large union. Earlier experience includes Network Supervisor at Wairarapa Community Polytechnic from 1995 to 1998. Educationally, Ian attended Wairarapa Community Polytechnic from 1989 to 1996.
