Wendy Brawer

Wendy Brawer is a prominent figure in sustainability and community planning, currently serving on the Board of the Trust for Governors Island since June 2023, appointed by Councilmember Chris Marte. As the Director of Green Map System since March 1995, Wendy has been instrumental in promoting sustainable practices through interactive maps and global networks. With a background as a Principal at Modern World Design and a member of Collective for Community, Culture, & Environment, LLC since January 2017, Wendy emphasizes eco design and social impact. Additionally, involvement with O2 Global Network and prior contributions as a Board Member for Anthropocene.Design NGO and a TED Resident further showcase dedication to environmental solutions and community engagement. Wendy holds a degree from the University of Washington.
