Becky MacNeill is an experienced professional in the public sector, currently serving as the Assistant Auditor-General of Corporate Services at the Office of the Auditor-General, New Zealand, since November 2020. Prior to this role, MacNeill held the position of Deputy Chief Executive of Organisational Performance at the Ministry for Culture and Heritage from January 2017 to November 2020. MacNeill also served as Director of Legal and Procurement at the Ministry for the Environment from June 2010 to May 2017, and worked as a Senior Solicitor and Solicitor at the Ministry of Economic Development from 1998 to 2010. Earlier in the career, MacNeill gained experience as a Parliamentary Officer at the Office of the Clerk of the House of Representatives between 1993 and 1998. MacNeill holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws degree in English Literature and Law from Victoria University of Wellington, which was completed between 1988 and 1993.
