Gail Akabane

Gail Akabane has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Gail has held various roles at different companies throughout their career. Most recently, they worked at Oahu Publications, Inc. as the VP Finance and Controller. Prior to that, they worked at Trinity Investments as the Partnership Controller and at Hawaiian Host Group as the Corporate Controller. Gail also gained experience at Aqua-Aston Hospitality, Oahu Publications, and Alice.com. Earlier in their career, Gail worked at Madison Gas and Electric, Grant Thornton LLP, and McGladrey & Pullen LLP, where they held positions such as Financial Analyst, Senior Assurance Associate, and Assurance Intern. Gail is a seasoned professional with a strong background in finance and accounting.

Gail Akabane has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, with a double major in Accountancy and Finance. Gail obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the State of Wisconsin in June 2006 and from the State of Hawaii in November 2014. Additionally, they obtained a Notary Public Commission from the State of Hawaii in January 2018.
