Evan Michel

Evan Michel, MPA, currently serves as Township Manager for Oak Park Township since February 2024, following a decade of experience as Assistant to the Village Manager for the Village of Buffalo Grove. During that tenure, key accomplishments included leading the implementation of a new village website, coordinating a multi-community insurance pool, and facilitating the formation of the Buffalo Grove Community Foundation. Previous roles include Management Analyst at Buffalo Grove, where Evan managed strategic planning initiatives and employee evaluations, and various internships in local government administration. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in American Studies and History from Elmhurst University.
