Leigh Carroll

Leigh Carroll is an experienced professional in the fields of library science, content strategy, and digital asset management. Currently serving as a Librarian for the Oakland Unified School District and as the School Library Partnerships Program Coordinator for the Oakland Literacy Coalition, Leigh also holds the position of Cataloger/Collections Assistant at the Pardee House Museum. Previous roles include a Metadata Intern at the Library of Congress and a Graduate Student Advocacy Intern focused on advancing school library interests at San Jose State University. With a background in content strategy at organizations such as Hotwire, Kaiser Permanente, and AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah, Leigh possesses strong skills in content management, metadata creation, and user experience optimization. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Library & Information Science specializing in Metadata, Digital Curation, and Archival Studies, and an Advanced Certificate in Digital Asset Management from San José State University.
