Julie Gest

Julie Gest is an experienced healthcare professional and educator, currently serving as the Nurse Residency Program Coordinator at University Medical Center since November 2013 and as a Registered Nurse at Ingham County Medical Care and Rehabilitation Facility since January 2013. Julie has been a Health Science Instructor at Oakland Schools since August 2000, with prior experience as a Health Sciences Instructor at Oakland Schools ISD from 2000 to 2011. Julie holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nursing from the University of Texas at Tyler, earned between 2014 and 2020, an Ed. Specialist Degree in Education from Oakland University from 2007 to 2009, a Master's of Science in Education from Ferris State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan-Flint.
