Drew Giles

Drew Giles has extensive experience in the education field. Drew is currently working as the Director of Quality Enhancement & Professional Development at the Oakland Unified School District. Prior to this, they held the same position at the same school district from 2015 to 2018.

Before joining the Oakland Unified School District, Drew worked at the Franklin-McKinley School District as the Director of Educare Programs from 2018 to 2021.

Drew also worked at the Denver Public Schools, where they served as the Early Education Coordinator from 2013 to 2015, and as a Kindergarten Teacher from 2012 to 2013.

In addition, Drew worked as an ECSE/K Teacher at Adams County School District 14 from 2008 to 2012.

Drew'searly teaching experience includes working as an ECE Teacher at the Sogang University Language Program from 2006 to 2007.

Drew Giles completed a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership from San Jose State University from 2021 to 2024. Prior to that, Drew earned a Master of Arts (MA) in Early Childhood Education from the University of Colorado Denver from 2008 to 2010. In 2001 to 2005, Drew obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder. Additionally, Drew holds various certifications, including Children's Yoga Teacher, Kids Yoga Instructor Certification, Yoga Instructor Certification - Level I, and Early Childhood Director's Credential, among others.
