James D. Williams

Mr. Williams is responsible for managing a team of Oakworth Capital Bank associates specializing in both commercial and private banking, which includes our medical practice offering. Mr. Williams banking experience includes 18 years prior to joining Oakworth Capital in November of 2007. Mr. Williams has served in capacities of both commercial and private banking; structuring transactions and working with many different types of corporate and private clients in various industries ranging from local privately held companies to larger publicly held institutions. Mr. Williams is a lifelong member of the Cathedral Church of the Advent where he has served in various roles. He is also an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, and has served in various other capacities for charitable organizations in the Birmingham area.
