Chris Pedder PhD has a long and varied work experience. Chris began their career in 2011 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of St Andrews. Chris then moved to the London Centre for Nanotechnology as a Research Fellow, where they investigated low-temperature properties of materials and suggested innovative areas of application. In 2015, they became an Adjoint de Recherche at the University of Luxembourg, where they developed novel theoretical approaches and carried out numerical modelling. In 2018, they became a Computer Vision Engineer at Gamaya, where they built and trained deep learning models using GPU acceleration. Later that year, they joined Kare Knowledgeware as a Lead NLP Research Engineer, where they kept up with the latest research developments in natural language processing, developed deployable machine-learning models, and patented new technologies. In 2020, they joined Cisco as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, where they led a stealth internal project, consulted on software architecture for others, and developed a novel sensor fusion engine. In 2021, they became an Advisor on Geospatial Machine Learning at Aquascope, and a Principal Machine Learning Engineer at KidsLoop Co., Ltd., where they focused on MLops, including training and deployment of personalisation systems for children around the world. Finally, in 2022 they became a Chief Data Scientist at OBRIZUM.

Chris Pedder PhD has a long education history. Chris obtained their PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Cambridge in 2008. Prior to that, they obtained an MMath in Theoretical Physics from the University of Cambridge in 2004, and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge in 2003. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from Coursera since 2017, including Building Containerized Applications on AWS (2021), Introduction to Deep Learning (2018), Applied Data Science with Python Specialization (2017), Applied Social Network Analysis in Python (2017), Applied Machine Learning in Python (2017), Applied Text Mining in Python (2017), Applied Plotting, Charting & Data Representation in Python (2017), and Introduction to Data Science in Python (2017).
