Kaci Alderson

Kaci Alderson is a freelance sports writer for the Observer-Reporter, focusing on local sports stories since June 2023. Additionally, Kaci serves as the Lead Writer for Offsides, where responsibilities include assigning articles, editing submissions, and managing the writing calendar. Kaci began with Offsides as a writer and has contributed to the NFL coverage for the brand. As an instructor at SwingCity Sports, Kaci teaches softball to children aged 6-12 and assists in tournament preparations. Past experience includes an operations and marketing internship for the 2023 DICK’S Sporting Goods PONY League World Series and a media internship for PONY Baseball and Softball. Kaci holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Management from Marietta College, alongside dual degrees in Sport Business Management and Finance from Mercyhurst University, complemented by a minor in Creative Writing.
