Nick Tumu

Nick Tumu is an experienced professional in petroleum engineering with a strong background in operations and production management. Currently serving as Manager of Operations Engineering - Heavy Oil at Obsidian Energy Ltd. since March 2021, Nick oversees the Peace River Oil Partnership and East AB Viking properties. Prior positions include Production Director at Bankers Petroleum Ltd., where responsibilities encompassed managing multiple functional teams and optimizing production processes. With previous roles at CNRL, AGL, Datalog Technology, Soho Resources, Wrangler Well Servicing, and Husky Energy, Nick has developed extensive expertise in well monitoring, completion optimization, and production engineering. Nick holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Regina.
