Heather Schweizer

Heather Schweizer is a highly experienced neurohospitalist currently serving at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital since October 2019, specializing in a high-volume neurology service line. In addition to this role, Schweizer is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Neurology Clerkship Site Director at UCF College of Health Professions and Sciences, also holding the position of Stroke Medical Director at HCA Florida West Marion Hospital. Prior experience includes serving as Neurohospitalist and Stroke Medical Director at UF Health Central Florida and completing residency, including a Chief Resident role, at Larkin Community Hospital. Early career experience includes working as an Emergency Medical Technician at Aero Ambulance. Schweizer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University and completed medical education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
